TIME 2018-09-30 Sunday 2359 (UTC+3)
LOCATION ANCHORED IN SKAGEN, 57 40,6’N / 010 36,6 ’E
WEATHER

Overcast, good visIBILITY, near gale, (WNW force 6), +12 degrees, 1008 mbar

TOTAL DISTANCE

7208 nm

We dropped the anchor for two reasons. Firstly do bunkering and secondly to make a crew change. We will now say goodbye to our ice advisors who have been a good support to the navigation team but also great fellows to keep atmosphere excellent at the ship. I wish we see each other soon again. I didn’t have yet chance to “Shanghai” them permanently to our crew but definitely will do so in the future.

From now on we are on our home waters. The Arctic is our playground but the Baltic Sea surely is our home. Shallow waters and intense traffic with ice navigation time to time will suit me (and for the vessel) perfectly.
