Four methanol-powered vessels to join the fleet

ESL Shipping is building a series of four 17,000 dwt handysize vessels. These new 1A ice-class vessels can operate fossil-free by using green methanol.

Our science-based net-zero targets are validated by SBTi

We are committed to to reduce our well-to-wake GHG emissions by 59.6% per ton-nautical mile by 2030. In the long term, we are committed to achieve net zero emissions by 2040.

Our services

ESL Shipping's geared vessels are especially designed to operate in the demanding conditions of the Baltic Sea. The ice-strengthened and relatively shallow-draft ships are able to load and unload vessels at sea.

Geared fleet

All of ESL Shipping’s vessels are equipped with three to four cargo cranes to make them independent of the loading and unloading services offered at ports.

Transshipments at sea

Our vessels of 13,000-25,000 dwt are equipped with side-mounted cranes and have been designed so that they can work next to another ship

Arctic shipments

Our ice-class vessels are a perfect fit for the extreme north, such as eastern coast of United States and Canada.
