AtoB@C Shipping strengthens hybrid fleet with delivery of Megamar

AtoB@C Shipping, a subsidiary of ESL Shipping, has taken delivery of Megamar, the eleventh vessel in its series of 5,400 dwt plug-in hybrid newbuildings. The vessel was handed over on June 10 and will soon begin its maiden voyage from India to Europe.

Built at Chowgule & Company, Megamar is part of AtoB@C Shipping’s next-generation hybrid fleet designed for efficient and low-emission operations in the Baltic and North Sea. Equipped with battery technology and shore power connectivity, the vessels enable silent and emission-free port calls, while ice class 1A ensures reliable year-round operations in northern conditions.

The addition of Megamar further strengthens AtoB@C Shipping’s modern fleet, supporting industrial customers with flexible and sustainable transport solutions across bulk, breakbulk and project cargoes.

AtoB@C Shipping has ordered twelve vessels in the series, with the final vessel, Luxomar, scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2026.

More information on the vessels is available on AtoB@C Shipping's website.
